Ford’s Tri-Motor was an innovative design incorporating three Pratt and Whitney Wasp radical engines with a corrugated metal fuselage featuring an enclosed cockpit and a heated passenger cabin. Coined as the “tin goose”, there were 199 Tri-Motors built between 1926 and 1933.
